Open Course: Self-Rescue
For any competent trad leader looking to expand their skillset to the maximum.
We'll explore the toolkit of skills that allows you to deal with problems & emergencies. Then we'll go into a series of simple drills to deal with foreseeable scenarios. Learn how to abseil & ascend, hoist your second through a difficult section, bypass a damaged section of rope & escape the system to enact a rescue.
This course is for climbers who have already received instruction in placing trad gear & building anchors with sling or rope.
Here at EAMS we do everything possible not to let our clients down. This course has two spaces. But in the event you are the sole client the course will run in a slightly shortened format (think one and a half days, rather than two). This means no waiting to see if your course is going ahead, no confusion, no cancellations or disappointment, once you book on you know your course will be running!
One day of this course will be held indoors (KendalWall or PrestonWall, entry included) & one day at the crag.
